To activate the spell vial, you want to hold it and imbue it with your own personal energy and chant over it what you want it to do. Visualize your intent whenever you use the vial to make the magic stronger. Once it is activated it is important that you are the only one who possess it.
Use however you like: it's perfect to simply place on your altar or carry on your person/in your purse or keep in your workspace. Alternatively, use the contents of the jar to place around a candle of a corresponding colour for a simple spell ritual.
